Russ Haskin is Director of Consulting at Redwood Analytics/LexisNexis. Over the past several years Russ has worked with over 100 law firms ranging from smaller firms to several within the AmLaw 10. With a focus on the business of law, he leads a team that consults with firm leadership on Redwood tools and methodology, business analysis, and process improvement. In addition, Russ plays a lead role in designing and implementing training and consulting programs. Prior to joining Redwood, Russ worked for more than seven years in Market Research and Project Analysis at two Fortune 500 companies.
Brian Taaffe is a Consultant at Redwood Analytics/LexisNexis. He graduated from University of Virginia with a degree in economics, and a concentration in finance. Brian has worked with over 100 law firms across the country and internationally to improve their business practices. With a focus on business of law and benchmarking, Brian has helped law firm management to improve production, turnover, and profitability. As Redwood expands globally, Brian will be driving and developing the consulting services in the UK.
Jonathan Huyard is a Senior Consultant with Redwood Analytics/Lexis Nexis. Jonathan has worked with over 100 firms of all sizes, both in the US and internationally, on issues ranging from billing and collections to profitability.
As Director of the Redwood Think Tank, Kris Satkunas leads LexisNexis' dedicated research efforts in studying and formulating solutions to law firm management issues. She is committed to an unbiased, structured approach to research that expands Redwood's ability to move law firms forward in managing the business of law. Kris shares findings from Think Tank studies through legal industry publications and presentations.
Kris' commitment to education within the legal industry extends to academia. She has been a guest lecturer at Temple University's School of Law and an assistant professor at Stony Brook University's EMBA program for law firm managers.
Prior to establishing the Think Tank in 2006, Kris worked with key management at over a hundred law firms to evolve Redwood's financial models and analyses. She spearheaded the development of Redwood's client/matter profitability methodology, used today by more than 100 law firms to manage client profitability. Kris came to Redwood in 2000 after having honed her finance skills as a Senior Vice President in Strategic Finance at Suntrust Bank. Kris holds a B.B.A. in Finance from The College of William & Mary.
Derek Schutz is the Director of Progams with Redwood Analytics/LexisNexis. He spends most of his time helping clients better understand their firm's operations and profitability through the use of Business Intelligence and developing solutions to improve their performance. Prior to joining Redwood, Derek worked as a Financial Analyst in the construction industry and as a Professional Hockey Player. Derek attended Virginia Commonwealth University and has a B.S. in Business Administration/Finance.
Bo Yancey is the Director of Professional Services with Redwood Analytics/Lexis Nexis. He leads a team of consultants whose mission is to expand the knowledge base around the business of law, and insure success with the products that Redwood clients have purchased. He is a frequent speaker on topics such as law firm profitability, inventory management, and legal industry trends. Bo has worked closely with dozens of law firms ranging in size from 30 to 1,500 lawyers, and is an expert in usage analytics for competitive advantage. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the College of William & Mary.
