As you may know, LegalTech, which is a very high profile legal technology event, is going on in NYC this week. Lots of big announcements from many big players, including our parent company, LexisNexis, who announced a partnership with Microsoft. Not to try to outshine the parent company, but yours truly worked on another product launching at LegalTech, a new legal business community at http://www.legalbusinesscommunity.com for all the key players involved in the business of law, so I wanted to say a little bit about it here, and encourage MPI readers to visit the community to read more from the experts here at MPI, as well as other industry experts within LexisNexis.
The new online community provides news, analyses, insights and best practices needed to run today's law firm. Content featured on the community includes time-tested, industry-leading offerings from LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell®, select news stories from Dow Jones Generate, analyses and blogs written by trusted knowledge matter experts, and podcasts and videocasts featuring these same leaders and experts.
The community was built with Managing Partners, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, IT Directors, HR Directors, Firm Administrators, Accountant/Bookkeepers, Billing Clerks and Practice Group leaders in mind. The ability to share ideas, opinions and experiences about running a successful law business in today's always evolving marketplace is available to all community members.
From client acquisition to the use of social media; from staffing to finance; from alternative billing to virtual law firms, the Legal Business Community and its members will ensure you have your finger on the pulse of today's law firms and the issues, challenges and opportunities they face.
