More Tax Cuts in Georgia

There is tax cutting talk in Georgia... GOP legislators are readying several bills that would cut taxes primarily for businesses. The ideas being tossed around in Atlanta are tax credits for employers who hire the unemployed, elimination of business registration fees, various cuts in capital gains taxes, and repeal of the corporate net worth tax.

But Georgia faces a $1.2 billion midyear budget shortfall for 2010. That is on top of the $3 billion deficit projected before the year began.
