Go to the Moon? Been There
When asked why certain cuts were being recommended for NASA, [Peter] Orszag, [Director of the Office of Management and Budget] explained we didn’t need to go to the moon because we had already been there. (It’s like telling your kid he doesn't need to earn any more A's because he already got one.)
Earlier in the day, Mr. Orszag’s boss, the President of the United States, introduced his administration's budget, which continues deficit spending as far as the eye can see, by basically saying, “Hey, don’t blame me.”

And what about the massive federal debt? The President is going to have a bipartisan commission study what we need to do about that. Why?

Appointing a commission to recommend what you already know needs to be done is not inspired leadership.

[N]othing will change. Until the fiscal catastrophe that this country is heading for changes everything.
