NC: State Begins Investigation of Claims Handling by Mission Hospital
ASHEVILLE, NC - State officials have commenced an investigation into whether Mission Hospital acted fraudulently in handling an employee's workers' compensation claim, this after a deputy commissioner of the North Carolina Industrial Commission ruled in September that Mission Hospital acted “unreasonably, fraudulently and in bad faith” when it denied benefits to one of its employees.
