IA Div of WC Requests Public Input

Des Moines, IA (CompNewsNetwork) - Due to ongoing budgetary constraints resulting from the national economic downturn the Division of Workers’ Compensation continues to look for cost-saving solutions. The Division is currently seeking public input on reducing road venue locations from 12 to 8. Presently there are 4 judicial districts in which the division has two venue locations. The proposal is to consolidate those 8 hearing locations into 4 – one location per judicial district. The venue location will be in the most accessible, sensible location within each judicial district. Those districts in which consolidation are proposed include districts, 1, 2, 3, and 8.
