OH: BWC Board of Directors to Host Public Forum on Managed Care Organizations

COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Board of Directors will hold its first public forum of the new year from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, February 26 in the auditorium of the William Green Building, located at 30 W. Spring St., Columbus. The topic of discussion will be managed care organizations (MCOs).

The forum is intended to be an interactive discussion between the BWC Board of Directors and representatives of MCO League of Ohio. The purpose of this discussion will be to review MCO and BWC governing rules and contractual requirements, as well as the progress of the MCO industry specific to the legislative mandates that created the Health Partnership Program.

The discussion will also include program enhancements, barriers within the current structure (administrative or legislative), and recommendations for system improvements.
