Yellow Taxi Owner Charged With Workers’ Comp Fraud (NY) – Frank Manzi, the owner of the Yellow Taxi Company of Syracuse, has been charged with workers’ comp fraud for allegedly using the name of a retired senior citizen to apply for insurance with the New York State Insurance Fund. Read more

Mechanicville Couple Arrested for Cashing Dead Father’s Workers’ Comp Checks (NY) – Geoffrey Gabel and Kelly Gabel have been accused of cashing the Geoffrey’s deceased father’s workers’ comp checks totaling more that $13,000.  Read more

Schenectady Woman Arrested for Workers’ Comp Fraud (NY) – Vicki Earing was arrested for allegedly collecting more than $30,000 in workers’ comp benefits while working as an independent contractor deliverying newspapers. Read more

Sting Operation Yields Arrests of Allegedly Unlicensed Contractors (CA) – The Contractors State License Board has arrested 11 individuals in the Merced area for allegedly being unlicensed contractors. Read more
