Three Years Running – An Interview With Cassandra Roberts on Her Award Winning Top Blog

Posted by

Ted Zwayer

Cassandra Roberts is the author of the Delaware Detour & Frolic blog, which has been honored in 2009, 2010, and 2011 as one of the LexisNexis Top 25 Blogs for Workers' Compensation and Workplace Issues. Cassandra is the senior workers' compensation partner in the law firm of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, where she represents both employers and carriers in defense before the Delaware Industrial Accident Board and also appears for injured workers on a consistent basis. She has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for workers' compensation, by Delaware Today Magazine as a Top Lawyer, and the American Trial Lawyers Association as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers for Delaware. In addition to her blog, she is the Editor and Publisher of the Delaware Workers Compensation CaseLaw Update.

Three Time Top Blogs Winner!

Cassandra was recently interviewed at her office by LexisNexis Web 2.0 Content Editor and Multimedia Producer Steve Berstler.

Cassandra first explains the origin of her blog and the content of her blog posts, which provide practitioners a library of the decisions of the Delaware Industrial Accident Board (IAB). If the IAB is the Wizard of Oz, Cassandra is the one who pulls back the curtain.

Cassandra talks about being recognized for the third year in a row as a Top Blog and having her work validated by LexisNexis.

Cassandra discusses the voice she uses in writing her posts: whimsical, with humor, but with the purpose of providing timely analysis of important legal decisions. And readers get to meet her daughters and her pets as an added bonus!

Cassandra talks about how the AMA Guides are hot discussion topics on the blog, as well as the funniest case she has written about, the defecation syncope case.
