Frequently Asked Questions
How does LexisNexis Premium Tracker work?
The LexisNexis Premium Tracker search is a single electronic search through the LexisNexis Services that delivers relevant information to one customer or several at a single firm. Research Analysts at LexisNexis work one-on-one with you to help create and fine-tune the search query to deliver only the most relevant answers possible about a specific topic. Each LexisNexis Premium Tracker is a single, unique search set up by a LexisNexis Data Analyst using the most significant sources and precise search criteria possible. Duplicate and irrelevant documents are removed before delivery so that you receive only the most pertinent, on-point information.
What makes LexisNexis Premium Tracker unique?
LexisNexis Premium Tracker offers you the most targeted results on every topic, due to the breadth of sources used and precise search logic used by your LexisNexis Data Analysts. They combine LexisNexis SmartIndexing Technology and Core Terms and Boolean logic to retrieve the best results available from millions of documents. Each day’s results are then reviewed by your Analysts, removing duplicate news stories and irrelevant documents before delivering the information to your firm. In addition, LexisNexis Premium Tracker includes an archive search feature which allows you to search across all LexisNexis Premium Tracker archives within the firm. You also receive four different display templates that may be customized with your firm's name/logo and eight different Web site color variations.
What does PickList do?
Like LexisNexis Premium Tracker searches, PickList tracks specific topics and allows the results to be accessed from your firm's Intranet. PickList search topics are pre-determined by LexisNexis based on current events, legislation, and other topics of general interest. This is an excellent tool to access ongoing, general information on specific topics. Subsequent search topics under each category are pre-determined by events in the news and logical search topics. Please contact your LexisNexis account representative for the most current listing of topics.
