Benefit Advisors Network Joins the LexisNexis® Insurance Exchange
October 5, 2011 — Platform provides communication and security improvement for major network of employee benefits agencies
ATLANTA – LexisNexis® Risk Solutions today announced that Benefit Advisors Network (BAN), a premier, national network of independent, employee benefit brokerage and consulting companies has joined the LexisNexis® Insurance Exchange. BAN members will use the Insurance Exchange for employee benefits placement as a way to better secure data, track and communicate progress and minimize errors during the submission process and improve its collaboration with carriers.
The LexisNexis Insurance Exchange is a business and renewal submission placement platform that enhances the flow of data between brokers or agents and carriers. Through the Insurance Exchange, brokers are kept up-to-date as they manage submissions to multiple markets and carriers benefit from effectively articulating their products’ features and benefits, allowing both to focus their time on enhanced relationship-building rather than administrative tasks.
"Our distinguished members look to BAN to deliver industry leading services, tools and technology to help them better compete and more efficiently run their operations," said Perry Braun, Executive Director, Benefit Advisors Network. "This platform represents an opportunity to significantly improve the submission/procurement process in the employee benefits space, and we’re eager to see the same gains as brokers have seen with Property & Casualty lines."
"Our vision for the Insurance Exchange is to provide a single source for all insurance placement for brokers and carriers," said Peter Lynch, president, LexisNexis Insurance Exchange. "To date, most of our participants have focused on commercial property & casualty lines. The addition of BAN represents a significant presence in the employee benefits community. We look forward to working with these industry leaders and helping them optimize their use of the platform so they can improve management and tracking of data in their submission process."
