LexisNexis Smart Meeting Named Finalist for Two Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service
Innovative solution recognized for its ability to help sales and business professionals prepare better for meetings with customers, prospects and business partners
February 5, 2013 — NEW YORK – LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a leading global provider of content and technology solutions, today announced that LexisNexis® Smart Meeting has been named a Finalist in the Relationship Management Solution and Business Intelligence Solution categories in the seventh annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
The awards recognize the achievements of sales, business development and customer service solution providers worldwide. They are presented by the Stevie Awards, which organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious International Business Awards. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” the final results will be announced during a gala banquet on Monday, February 25, at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Finalists from the U.S.A. and several other nations are expected to attend.
Launched in July 2012, LexisNexis Smart Meeting, for which a patent is pending, is an innovative, mobile-friendly meeting preparation tool for sales and business professionals that is designed to deliver the latest news and information on customers, prospects and business partners right before a meeting. It integrates with Microsoft® Outlook to deliver a snapshot of timely and useful company information – such as breaking company news, executive moves, M&A activity, corporate financial results and product and competitive developments – via email to any end-user device, including iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Android, MacBook and PCs.

More than 1,100 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year’s competition. Finalists were determined by the average scores of 120 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges. More than 100 members of several specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place January 28 through February 8.
