Use the Judge Search form to find information about a judge you want to research. Enter a last name and select sources, at a minimum, then click Search to continue.
Judge's Last Name (required)
Enter the judge's last name. If you are not sure of the correct spelling, you can enter
alternate spellings separated by OR connectors.
Judge's First Name
Enter the judge's first name. This field is not required but when used can narrow your
search results.
Jurisdiction
Specify the jurisdiction you want to search.
Date Restrictions
Use the drop-down list to choose a date restriction, or enter dates in the
From field, in the To field, or in both fields. The standard date format is:
mm/dd/yyyy.
Additional Search Terms
You can enter additional search terms to help narrow your search to retrieve more relevant
documents. For example, if you're interested in opinions by a specific judge on limited
liability businesses, enter the judge's last name in the "Judge Last Name" field
and "limited liability business" here.

Maximum Documents per Source
Use the drop-down list to choose the maximum number of documents you want to retrieve
per source.
Select a Source
Use the radio buttons, checkboxes, and links to select a source or source set. You must
select at least one source.
Use a favorite source set:
Select a previously-defined source set from the drop-down list.
Note: Favorite source sets are unique to each search form;
available sources may vary between forms.
Remove
The "Remove" link deletes the selected favorite source
set. This link only appears if you have defined a favorite source set.
Select from list:
You can do the following:
Use the checkboxes to select individual items.
Click the Select All link to select all items in one operation.
Click the Clear All link to clear all selected items at one time.
Click the View & Edit Searches link to show the searches that will be
submitted for each selected source. If necessary, you can then edit any of those
displayed searches.
Note: Any changes you make to the search will impact both the quantity
and quality of the results that search will retrieve.
The Icon
Click this icon to the right of the source name for information about
that source.
Save selection as favorite source set
Enter a set name and click "Save" to save the selected
sources as a favorite source set.
Search
Click this button to perform your search.
Clear All
Click this button to clear all information and start again.
