LexisNexis® atVantage™ 2.0 (October 2007)

Specific features and functionality included in atVantage 2.0:

  • State Court Data
The most recent release of atVantage™ features the addition of state court data. We offer Company, Firm and Lawyer Profiles for NY Supreme (62 counties) and DE Court of Chancery, which gives marketers, business development professionals and librarians more options when profiling a company. State Court content is visible under the Litigation Trends tab and includes State Case Types — which varies for each state, Geographies — which roll up all courts within a given state and Courts — which allows users to choose a specific court. Users can choose to search for a company from a high level, including all courts available in atVantage, or dig deeper to specify a state court at a granular level, such as a specific court.

Currently, state court data is not available on Industry or Market Profiles and is not a searchable criteria within Prospecting but will be added as part of future releases. Additional state courts will be coming with upcoming releases — including California (LA County) and Illinois (Cook County) for the 2.4 release in December 2007 — more states being targeted in future releases.

  • New Portal Integration
Firms that use portals (such as SharePoint or Plumtree®) to provide a central point of access for a variety of applications and information can now add atVantage to their portal deployments. We offer multiple Web part options that allow you to integrate atVantage into your portal:

    • A Generic Search in which the user enters a company, firm, lawyer or industry and is then brought into atVantage.

    • An Inline Search which is similar to a generic search, except that the interim results are included in the portal. The user then chooses the correct search result and is brought into atVantage.

    • Cross Tabs (Company, Industry, Firm and Lawyer) and More Like This content are embedded into the portal so the user never has to leave. Users can view Litigation Trends and Corporate Transactions information directly within the portal.

Visitors will see a brief description and then have the ability to click in and purchase the full commentary. They can also access a repository of other expert commentaries that sits behind the home page. Users can comment on the substance of the posting, recommend it to others or e-mail the link.
