The LexisNexis Librarian Relations Group
A focused mission, a proud tradition, a treasured relationship

Since its inception in 1993, the LexisNexis Librarian Relations Group has had a simple focus and one unwavering mission:

To help law librarians succeed by providing expert training and
personalized support, and to represent their interests to LexisNexis
          management.

Our role is to provide specialized services to help law librarians succeed -- services such as  individualized training and information materials; keeping you up-to-date on the latest LexisNexis products and services; offering educational and professional development opportunities; and supporting the librarian profession.  In addition, we act as liaisons between the librarian community and LexisNexis, representing the concerns and interests of librarians and acting as their advocates to the providers of the LexisNexis services.

Our team of 14 Librarian Relations Consultants (LRCs), led by Senior Director Cindy Spohr, who is herself an experienced law librarian, is our front-line of support for your success.  Located throughout the United States, the LRCs offer an impressive breadth of formal education and professional experience.  All have M.L.S. degrees, and many have earned additional degrees in legal or related areas.  They bring extensive experience as librarians in law-firm, government, law school, or corporate settings.  All LRCs are active participants in national, regional and local library associations, frequently serving as officers, members and speakers.

LRCs offer exceptional support services, including:

  • New Product Seminars
LRCs provide information on how to use new products and services, and make sure you gain the most benefit from new online enhancements.
  • Specific Librarian Applications
LRCs can undertake projects as your partner to meet the research requirements of the professionals you serve.
  • Individualized Consultations
LRCs can help you with library planning and intranet development to ensure that you receive the maximum capability from your library resources.  They can also assist you with promoting and marketing your library to help you gain deserved recognition.
  • Reference Materials
Whatever your needs dictate, at your request, LRCs can mail or email easy-to-follow updates, at-a-glance materials or tip sheets on our new services.
  • Train-the-Trainer Sessions
LRCs can provide the support and materials you need to confidently lead professional training sessions, convey new product information, and be well-prepared to answer questions.
