The Librarian Relations Group develops and presents the
following specialized programs on a bi-annual basis:
Advanced Management for Private Law Librarians
(AMPLL)
Created and sponsored by the LexisNexis Librarian Relations
Group, the Advanced Management for Private Law Librarians (AMPLL)
Conference is open to all law librarians working in a management
position, such as library manager, director, or department head, in
a private law firm or corporate legal department.
The Conference was first established in 1997, and takes place in
April every other year. Librarians interested in attending
must go through an electronic application process. When
deciding on which applicants to accept, the Selection Committee
strives for diversity in such areas as geographical distribution,
firm size, and managerial responsibilities.
The Conference includes presentations, structured breakout
sessions, demonstrations, and ample opportunity for networking with
the faculty, council, and other attendees. Class size is
limited to 30 participants to maximize learning and sharing of
information.
There is no registration fee charged to attend the AMPLL
Conference. LexisNexis covers all conference materials, meals,
lodging, and transportation to and from the airport. Attendees
are responsible only for their airfare to and from the conference
and any personal incidental charges. One travel scholarship is
available.
