Keeping on Top of the New Bankruptcy Law Major Changes
(September 2005)
President Bush signed the
Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005
in April, and it goes into effect on October 17th. This landmark
legislation has been in the making for over nine years. The new
bankruptcy law makes the most significant revisions to bankruptcy
law since the 1978 Bankruptcy Code.
