Native American Tribal Courts Online

Ever need to find Native American tribal court decisions? LexisNexis® is pleased to announce that we have expanded our offerings to include a number of tribal courts for several Native American tribes.

The tribal courts we currently carry include: the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribal courts, the Crow tribal court, the Fort Peck tribal court, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee tribal courts. Most of these can be found on lexis.com® by going through the following path:

Search > Legal > Area of Law – By Topic > Native American Law > Cases and Court Rules

Under the Native American Law area, we have also included the Department of the Interior Solicitor’s opinions for Native American affairs.  You can find these here:

Search  >Legal > Area of Law - By Topic > Native American Law > Cases and Court Rules > Native American Solicitor's Opinions

The Cherokee courts can be found under the North Carolina sources. The path for the Cherokee courts is the following:

Search > Legal > States Legal – US > North Carolina > Cases

For your convenience, you can also find the Salish, Kootenai, Crow, and Fort Peck tribal courts under the Montana sources. The path to these Native tribal courts under the Montana sources would be the following:

Search > Legal > States Legal – US > Montana > Cases
