Locating Securities Fraud Litigation Documents

There are a number of sources in which to search when looking for information regarding securities fraud investigations by the Securities Exchange Commission or the Department of Justice.

When looking for SEC Commission decisions dealing with securities fraud, run the following initial search:

SOURCE PATH: Legal > Federal Legal - U.S. > Administrative Agency Materials > Individual Agencies > SEC Decisions, Orders & Releases
SEARCH: text(opinion /5 commission! and 10b-5 or 240.10b-5 or securities fraud)

If you are looking for opinions regarding civil actions brought by the SEC in securities fraud cases, use the LN_SUMMARY segment to locate relevant decisions in a federal caselaw source: 

court(district court) and ln-summary(10b-5 or 240.10b-5 or insider trading) and name(sec or securities exchange commission)

Similarly, opinions in criminal securities fraud cases can be retrieved with the following search:

name(United States)  and securities fraud or insider trading and 10b-5 or 240.10b-5

Find articles related to civil actions and criminal prosecutions securities fraud, as well as related full-text court documents, in the following source:
