New Sources: Briefs, Motions, and Pleadings
Recently, LexisNexis® introduced a few new sources that greatly expand our litigation resources. These new sources contain selected briefs, motions, and pleadings that deal with unique or emerging issues.
The documents included in these new sources were selected on the basis of four criteria:
- From “leading” cases, as determined by experienced legal editors at Matthew Bender® and the skilled litigation journalists at Mealey’s.
- From 2000 to present.
- From the most active and influential jurisdictions: all federal jurisdictions (except the US Supreme Court) and California, Florida, New York, Ohio, and Texas.
- From five of the most dynamic and high-stakes areas of litigation: Intellectual Property, Securities, Employment, Insurance, and “Complex” Litigation.
Over 60 full-text searchable sources have been created for these documents. All of them can be retrieved from one of the two main group sources: Selected Briefs and Motions, Combined and Selected Pleadings, Combined.
In addition to their inclusion in full-text searchable sources on lexis.com, these documents are accessible via links located in related case opinions. Similarly, many of these documents will have links to their related case opinions, if a decision has been released.
