Getting the Most From LexisNexis® Headnotes
(February 20, 2004)

LexisNexis® Headnotes are key legal points of a case drawn directly from the language of the court. They appear at the beginning of the case and allow you to review the key issues at a glance.

Each LexisNexis Headnote is numbered {HN1} and displays a down arrow next to the text. The number and arrow are actually hot links. If you click the down arrow, you'll jump to the point in the case where that headnote actually appears, allowing you to read it in context. At that location, the headnote number is displayed again along with an up arrow. Click on the up arrow and you will return to the list of LexisNexis Headnotes at the beginning of the case.

Use the LexisNexis Headnote numbers and up and down arrows to quickly gain an overview of a case by navigating quickly through the key points.
