Save Time Researching Patents
(April 9, 2004)

The Patent Research Task page was just improved with two new easy-to-use search features you have been asking for: GET a Patent and Find a Patent

GET a Patent allows you to select a patent citation format from a streamlined list of patent types, enter a known patent number, and retrieve the patent almost instantly.

Find a Patent allows you to perform segment restricted keyword searching to quickly locate a patent. Both features will help you save time when looking for patents.

Remember that the Patent Research Task page can be accessed via the Research Tasks tab next to the Search tab on lexis.com. You can set the Research Tasks tab as your default start or entry location once you sign on to www.lexis.com. Click the Options link in the navigation bar, and then click Research Tasks under Start Location.

Once you link to a specific Research Tasks page, you can select that page as a default, and it will display automatically when you either select the Research Task tab.  Or, if you have previously set the Research Tasks tab as your default starting point in lexis.com, your default Research Task page will automatically display once you sign on. Just click the Set as my Default Research Task Page link at the top of the page.

Format this page for printing.
