Cite List Format Change
(October 14, 2005)
Did you
know you can change the way you view a NEWS cite list on lexis.com?
In the past the cite list format for NEWS searches listed the content in
the following order:
publication name, date, word count, title of article (see example
below):
Legal Week, August 25, 2005, 2388 words, National News: (US) Combine
and conquer US national firm mergers, Ed Thornton;
ed.thornton@legalweek.com
And while we have become accustomed to reviewing results in this format,
it can be taxing on the eyes, as we often have to scan the cite list to
find out the title of the article.
The new cite list reorders the information and puts the title of the
article first.
(See example below):
National News: (US) Combine and conquer US national firm mergers, Legal
Week, August 25, 2005, 2388 words, Ed Thornton;
ed.thornton@legalweek.com
To view the new cite list, simply click on the Hide Hits link located in
the upper middle part of the screen after you run your NEWS search.
