InfoPro Home > Training & Tutorials > Research Tips Shepard’s® Report Symbols(October 21, 2005) A new change to the placement of the Shepard’s symbol within a Shepard’s report is significant in that it clears up any confusion as to why the particular symbol was assigned. When you view a Shepard’s report, you will notice that the Shepard’s symbol in the Summary Box is located to the left of the appropriate analysis. (See below.)
So if you ever find yourself wondering
why LexisNexis assigned a
specific symbol to a case, all
you have to do is review the
decisions listed to the right of
where the symbol is located to
find your answer.
