Research Task Pages are easy to use and help you quickly retrieve results without having to click through to the source you want to search.

  • For example, if you are asked to retrieve an IRS Private Letter Ruling there is a template under the search box “Get an IRS Ruling or Release” where you simply choose Private Letter Ruling from the drop down and type in the Private Letter Ruling number.
  • On the Securities Research Task Page there is a search box “Find a No-Action Letter or Release” with a template for no-action letters where you type in the name of a company and one for releases where you can choose the act and type in the number.
  • The Trademark & Copyright Research Task Page provides search templates for Trademarks for trademark name, serial number, and a number of other criteria.

Using Research Task Pages can save you time in locating the needed source. These pages can also be a very useful source for your attorneys practicing in any of the areas where we have Research Task Pages.
