Negative News Search Revisited

As we all know searching for just the negative stories about a person or company can be a daunting task. We have all been asked to find out “dirt” on a person or a company when the firm is considering taking them on as a client, or when the corporate attorneys are putting together information for an SEC filing.

Earlier this year one of my colleagues provided a search tip to assist you in finding negative news stories. The suggestion was to use the search template available on the Research Task Page for Securities.  This is still a good choice; but I have additional tips to share for this task.
