NOZA – Charitable Donations

NOZA is a database of over 12 million records of charitable donations to nonprofit organizations. The information is collected from publicly available sources. There are several scenarios where this source may be helpful for your research needs.

First, your Trusts & Estates attorneys may request the names of some charities that certain high profile people contribute to, for example, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Second, your firm represents a charitable organization and they want a list of possible donors to solicit for donations. You can search by the type of organization, similar to your client, and find a list of donors.

Third, you are looking for information about assets for an individual who is suspected of  hiding assets. Check NOZA to see if they have contributed to a charitable organization.

Fourth, do some background client development searching to determine if the executive your partner is meeting with has a connection with one or more charities. This information can provide information for a non-business conversation on interests or affiliations.
