When looking for industry data many people think that you have to spend thousands of dollars on a consulting firm’s market research report.  Company and Industry Dossier on lexis.com is a great source for industry research reports. The industry snapshot provides you with companies within that industry, their sales rankings, news, etc. and the ability to click to their individual company reports. Do not stop with the industry snapshot alone. Did you know that you can access merger and acquisition data from Mergerstat® Database from the Mergers tab under the Report section?
