The Court granted in part and denied in part defendants' various motions to dismiss plaintiffs' first amended complaint. The case arose out of a failed business venture involving the purchase of undeveloped real property in the Sacramento area. Plaintiffs alleged claims against defendants for individual violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961, et seq., RICO conspiracy, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, professional legal malpractice, professional accounting malpractice, and conversion.
