USCIS Launches Online Multilingual Resource Center

USCIS launched its online Multilingual Resource Center, a central location for USCIS resources in a variety of languages, on July 26. The online Center offers immigration application information and materials in up to twenty-two languages.

"Our Multilingual Resource Center is our most recent step in increasing customer access to important and accurate immigration information," said Director Alejandro Mayorkas. "By providing immigration information to our customers in their native languages, we improve our customers' experience and enhance their ability to navigate our nation's legal immigration system."

The Multilingual Resource Center includes a new Spanish translation of The Handbook for Employers: Instructions for Completing Form I-9 (M-274) and the introduction of a collection of thirteen newly translated How Do I.... guides in Chinese. The guides are also available in English and Spanish.

The Center can be found at www.uscis.gov/multilingual.

Global Entry Kiosks in Ireland

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced that Global Entry kiosks are now available in CBP preclearance facilities at Ireland's Shannon and Dublin airports. Since the publication of the final rule implementing Global Entry as a permanent program, CBP has expanded the program to thirty-seven U.S. and preclearance airports.

New EB-5 Office

USCIS Director Alejandro Mayorkas announced that USCIS will be creating a new office to oversee its administration of the EB-5 (immigrant investor) program. In the next month, two full-time attorneys with transactional experience will join the EB-5 adjudications team. A special review board consisting of two Supervisory Immigration Services Officers and one economist will review every pending application for regional center designation for which a denial has been recommended. A new Chief of Immigrant Investor Programs will lead the new office.
