ICSID Denies Application For Provisional Measures In Dispute With Venezuela

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) on March 4 released its decision denying a request for provisional measures filed by an investment company that would prevent the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela from seizing vessels and pursuing other litigation, finding that the request did not meet the urgency requirements of the ICSID Convention (CEMEX Caracas Investments B.V., et al. v.
