ICSID Imposes Provisional Measures Requiring Bolivia To Suspend Criminal Cases

WASHINGTON, D.C. - After finding that criminal proceedings filed by the Plurinational State of Bolivia were motivated by a connection to an arbitration filed by parties alleging that Bolivia violated their rights as investors when it revoked their mining concessions, the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) on Feb. 26 granted an application for provisional measures requiring the state to suspend the cases (Quiborax S.A., et al. v.
