ICSID Denies Indonesia's Request For Provisional Measures In Mining Dispute

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A tribunal for the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) on March 4 denied a request for provisional measures filed by the Republic of Indonesia against a mining company, finding that Indonesia failed to show that public statements the company made jeopardized its rights in the case or that it the company was not prohibited from entering settlement negotiations (Churchill Mining PLC v. Republic of Indonesia, No. ARB/12/14, ICSID; See February 2013, Page 10).
