ICSID Refuses To Grant Provisional Measures In Dispute With Zimbabwe

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A tribunal of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) on March 16 denied a request for provisional measures filed by a group of companies in a dispute with the Republic of Zimbabwe, in which the companies sought orders that certain unauthorized people do not enter a property owned by the companies, finding that the tribunal's interference was not warranted (Bernard Von Pezold and others v. Republic of Zimbabwe, No. ARB/10/15, Border Timbers Limited, et al. v. Republic of Zimbabwe, No. ARB/10/25, ICSID; See January 2013, Page 15).
