Federal Magistrate Judge Orders $3,200 In Set-Asides To Medicare In Injury Suit

SHREVEPORT, La. - A federal magistrate judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on March 13 ordered a personal injury plaintiff to set aside $3,200 in future medical expenses to satisfy federal requirements under the Medicare Secondary Payer Statute (Warren Frank v. Gateway Insurance Co., et al., No. 6:11cv0121, W.D. La.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 33581).
