Panel Denies Underwriters' Motion To Appeal In Mortgage-Backed Securities Suit

NEW YORK - Ruling that "immediate appeal is unwarranted," a Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Jan. 17 denied a motion for leave to appeal a federal district court ruling granting class certification filed by underwriters in a securities class action lawsuit against investment bank IndyMac Bank MBS Inc., its subsidiary and others (Police and Fire Retirement Systems of the City of Detroit, et al. v. Indymac MBS Inc., et al., No. 12-3463, 2nd Cir.).
