HOUSTON - The First District Texas Court of Appeals on May 21 affirmed summary judgment for the defendants in a medical malpractice action involving a pro se plaintiff who claimed that he was injured by missteps taken by a jail's medical staff, disagreeing with his contention that the trial court should have appointed him an expert witness (Walter Earl Taylor v. Correctional Medical Services Inc., et al., No. 01-11-00836-CV, Texas App., 1st Dist.; 2013 Tex. App. LEXIS 6227).
