Politician's Defamation Claim Against Huffington Post Time-Barred, 8th Circuit Rules

ST. LOUIS - A one-time political candidate's defamation claim against a popular news site was properly dismissed as time-barred under Minnesota's two-year statute of limitations and because it lacks merit, an Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel ruled June 7 (Jack Shepard v. TheHuffingtonPost.com Inc., No. 12-4036, 8th Cir.; 2013 U.S. App. LEXIS 11490).
