Ex-Franchisee's Domain Use Deemed Infringement, Not False Advertising, Cyberpiracy

ALBANY, Ga. - A former franchisee of a garage door firm engaged in trademark infringement and false designation of origin by continuing to use the firm's marks in his company's Internet domain and other applications, a Georgia federal judge found June 17 (Overhead Door Corp. v. William H. Burger, No. 1:12-cv-00101, M.D. Ga.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 84486).
