Judge OKs Discovery Of Accused Doe File Sharers, But Without Publication

CHICAGO - In granting a movie production company's motion to conduct early discovery to learn the identities of Doe defendants accused of sharing its copyrighted film online, an Illinois federal judge on July 10 forbade the plaintiff from then publishing the Does' identities without further leave of the court (TCYK LLC v. Does 1-87, No. 1:13-cv-03845, N.D. Ill.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 95817).
