Hurricane Katrina Claims Are Prescribed, Federal Judge Rules, Dismisses Suit

NEW ORLEANS - Insureds' claims arising from Hurricane Katrina are prescribed, a Louisiana federal judge ruled July 26, granting a homeowners insurer's motion to dismiss in a reopened coverage dispute (Wayne Herring, et al. v. Metropolitan Property & Casualty Insurance Co., No. 10-935 SECTION "N" $(2$), E.D. La.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 104983).
