Questions Of Fact Exist On Proof-Of-Loss Form, Michigan Federal Judge Says

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A Michigan federal judge on July 26 denied an insurer's motion for summary judgment and motion to dismiss after determining that questions of fact exist regarding whether a proof of loss submitted to an insurer was a satisfactory proof of loss pursuant to the policy's terms (Great Lakes Geophysical LLP v. Travelers Property Casualty Co., No. 13-10830, E.D. Mich.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 104078).
