Judge Dismisses Counterclaims Against Bank That Acquired Loan From Failed Bank

ATHENS, Ga. - A federal judge in Georgia on July 31 dismissed counterclaims filed by borrowers in a suit filed by Bank of Ozarks (Ozarks), which acquired their loan from a bank that failed, ruling that they are not third-party beneficiaries of the agreements between Ozarks and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (Bank of the Ozarks v. Sherman Nathaniel Crockett Jr., et al., No. 13-0023, M.D. Ga.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 107035).
