Connecticut Judge Affirms Black & Decker Not Liable For General-Use Tools

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - A Connecticut judge on Sept. 24 affirmed dismissal of asbestos claims against a general-use tool manufacturer, saying nothing suggests that she erred in finding that it could not be liable for exposures arising from the products' use (Joseph Abate Jr., et al. v. AAF-McQuay Inc., et al., No. CV 10-6006228 S, Conn. Super., Fairfield at Bridgeport Dist.).
