Detroit: Stay Relief Should Be Denied NAACP Parties Alleging Unconstitutionality

DETROIT - The bankrupt City of Detroit on Sept. 26 filed a brief in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan arguing that the automatic stay prohibits parties associated with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) from pursuing litigation against the city (In Re: City of Detroit, No. 13-53846, Chapter 9, E.D. Mich. Bkcy.).
