11th Circuit: Student Loans Dischargeable Based On Undue Hardship Standard

ATLANTA - A panel of the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Oct. 3 affirmed a bankruptcy court's decision that the student loan debt a debtor incurred because she co-signed for loans that paid for her former husband to attend medical school was dischargeable (The Education Resources Institute Inc. v. Kandace Zumbro $(In Re: Kandace Zumbro$), No. 13-11868, Chapter 13, 11th Cir.; 2013 U.S. App. LEXIS 20232).
