Texas Appeals Panel: Judge Erred By Reversing Jury Award In Injury Case

HOUSTON - The First District Texas Court of Appeals on Oct. 8 ruled that a trial court erred by entering a take-nothing judgment notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV) in a workplace injury action, concluding that the evidence showed that the defendants failed to use reasonable care unloading heavy equipment on a worksite (Clay Givens v. All Pro Courts LLC, et al., No. 01-12-00874-CV, Texas App., 1st Dist.; 2013 Tex. App. LEXIS 12458).
