Insurer Is Entitled To Equitable Contribution, California Panel Determines

LOS ANGELES - An insurer is entitled to equitable contribution from another insurer for underlying environmental contamination claims because the other insurer retained a 5 percent risk for most of the coverage years at issue, the Second District California Court of Appeal said Oct. 16 (The Continental Insurance Co. v. Rockwell Collins Inc., No. B238504, Calif. App., 2nd Dist., Div. 7).
