Judge: No North Carolina Jurisdiction Over Trademark Cybersquatting Defendants

GREENSBORO, N.C. - A plaintiff failed to establish personal or specific jurisdiction over out-of-state defendants in a trademark and cybersquatting complaint, a North Carolina federal judge ruled Nov. 6, granting the defendants' motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction (Vision Motor Cars Inc. v. Valor Motor Co, et al., No. 1:13-cv-00317, M.D. N.C.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 158665).
