Attorney Fees, Costs Awarded In Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Suit

NEW YORK - A consumer is entitled to an award of attorney fees and costs for all work done in a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) suit, a Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel ruled Nov. 19, because the consumer continued to litigate his claims until the action was completely resolved (Joel J. Cabala v. Timothy W. Crowley, et al., No. 12-3757, 2nd Cir.; 2013 U.S. App. LEXIS 23298).
